"Windswept Icon"
A young woman in the Art Gallery of Ontario gazes at Canadian artist Tom Thomson's iconic 1917 painting The West Wind.
The West Wind was Thomson's final painting and was based on an earlier sketch painting on location in the Algonquin Park area. This painting has become a symbolic image of the wild and untouched Canadian landscape.
