Andrew Bonnycastle's painting of a young man viewing a portrait of England's King Henry VIII by Circle of Hans Holbein the Younger in the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Thy Will Be Done

A young man eyes a portrait of  England's King Henry VIII by Circle of Hans Holbein the Younger in the Art Gallery of Ontario.

There are several painted copies of Henry VIII in this pose, all based on Holbein's massive Tudor mural in Whitehall Palace, which was lost to a fire in 1698.

This painting of Henry VIII is one of only two Tudor portraits in Canada. It was anonymously donated to the Art Gallery of Ontario where it hangs today.
