Floor-to-Ceiling

A man wandering through the Canadian Collection at the Art Gallery of Ontario pauses in front of a wall hung with an assortment of early to mid-1900s paintings, mainly by female artists.  The artists featured are Helen McNicoll; Marion Long; H.R.H. Princess Patricia of Connaught; Gertrude Spurr Cutts; A.Y. Jackson; Laura Muntz Lyall; Kathleen Munn; Maurice Cullen; J.E.H. MacDonald; William Brymner; F.M. Bell Smith.  This room at the AGO no longer exists and was demolished to create a larger, more modern gallery space for the Canadian Collection.
