Andrew Bonnycastle's painting of a girl admiring Claude Monet's Charing Cross Bridge, Fog, 1902, at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

"Bridging the Gap"

A girl admires Claude Monet's painting, Charing Cross Bridge, Fog, 1902, at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Monet was captivated by the London Fog, a notable atmospheric effect made markedly worse by the heavy pollution of the Industrial Revolution.

Between 1899 and 1905, Monet traveled to London and captured this view of the River Thames a staggering 37 times from the balcony of his favorite suite at the Savoy Hotel.
